A perfect weekend among the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene.

if you’re here, it means you’re looking for that perfect weekend among the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG

Not a list of things to see.
Not the usual stops marked on the map.

But something more real.

Two days, a few well-chosen places, and time that finally slows down.

📍 Day 1: Conegliano, starting at the right pace

Walk. Take your time.

Arrive in Conegliano and do the simplest thing: walk.

But do it like this: start from Via XX Settembre. It’s the backbone of the city, but don’t rush through it.
Slow down. Look up. The buildings speak more than the shop windows, especially the frescoes.

Halfway along, without overthinking it, slip into one of the small side streets. Conegliano is made of this too: hidden corners that don’t try to get your attention.

Then head back to the main street and start going up. Follow the signs to the Conegliano Castle: the road turns into a climb, then into silence, and finally into a view.

You can choose:

  • The panoramic street
  • or the staircase

It doesn’t matter which one. What matters is the moment you arrive at the top. The moment you stop walking and start looking.

👉 From here, you can understand where are you

take your time to live this moment

Stop at Caffè Teatro. You’re in the heart of Contrada Grande, now Via XX Settembre — the street that once crossed the entire city within its walls, between gates, frescoed buildings, and everyday life.

Caffè Teatro has always been part of this rhythm. Overlooking Piazza Cima, right in front of Teatro Accademia, it’s one of those places that wasn’t created for tourists. It grew with the city.

Here, the day begins with coffee for the regulars and flows into spritz and conversations that stretch into the evening.

Sit outside, if you can.
Watch the square, the theatre, the people. You’re not just taking a break. You’re stepping, even if only for a moment, into the real life of Conegliano.

And then… the perfect moment for a PICNIC arrives.

Leave the town center, the roads become softer, and the hills begin to open up in front of you.
Direction: Le Manzane.

And why here, of all places?

Because at Le Manzane you don’t come here just to “do a wine tasting.” You come to take time for yourself.

Stretch out among the vines, in a private spot designed just for you.
Waiting for you, a basket that tells the story of the land without needing words:

And then something even more delicious:
a savory snack prepared by Mamma Silvana, a homemade dessert, and a bottle of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG to open slowly, without any rush.

All around you, just vineyards. Silence.
And that rare feeling of not needing to be anywhere else.

If you’d like, you can also add a winery tour.
Actually, you should..

Because Le Manzane is one of those

Here you’ll find the Vigna Solidale, a unique project that each year brings together the local area and community through a meaningful gesture: part of the harvest’s proceeds is donated to charitable initiatives, turning wine into something that goes beyond the glass.

And then the winery itself: carved into the hillside, integrated into the landscape, almost hidden.
It’s not something you see every day.

Note: You can add the experience directly to your picnic, or choose from the different options available.

Just a few clicks, and your spot among the vineyards is secured.

Serravalle, no explanation needed.

In the afternoon, head towards Vittorio Veneto, Serravalle area. Don’t look for “things to see.” Just wander. That’s how it works here.
And enjoy the views and the historic streets.

In the evening: do less, but do it well.

Aperitivo in Conegliano, around Piazza Cima.
What does Papercigno recommend?
A gourmet aperitivo at Mezzo Sale, or if you want the classic Venetian aperitivo experience, highly recommended: Al Municipio, where you’ll find Giorgio and Marco, with a wide selection of wines.

Dinner at Ristorante Salisà, with a beautiful glass terrace. The food is fantastic, you can’t go wrong.

Dormite in un posto che vi faccia restare dentro questo ritmo:

Day 2: follow the hills, not the schedule. Rule: no rush 🌿✨

Sunday isn’t made for packing things in. Head towards Valdobbiadene, stop at Osteria Senz’Oste

Don’t expect service, that’s exactly what makes it unique! But expect something real
Go in the morning or around sunset for the most beautiful light

On your way back from Valdobbiadene, you absolutely have to stop at the Molinetto della Croda.
A tiny living painting: a mill tucked into the rock, with water falling like a liquid curtain
  • Quick visit (30–45 min)
  • Perfect for photos and a quiet moment
  • Even more atmospheric after the rain

⛪ Final stop: silence and history

Before ending the day, take one last small step out of time:
the Pieve di San Pietro di Feletto ⛪✨

An ancient, simple church resting on the hills. Inside and out, frescoes that tell stories from long ago.

  • It’s like flipping through a medieval calendar, painted on stone 🪨✨

It’s not decoration: it’s life being told.

🍽️ A proper ending

Now it’s time to sit down.

You can choose:

  • Trattoria da Sabrina → authentic, warm, and unpretentious. Dishes that taste of home and local tradition. You’ll be welcomed by Sabrina and her daughter Veronica, who will happily suggest the perfect wine to pair with each dish.
  • Il Capitello → a charming location curated by Pamela, with an elegant bistro style and great attention to high-quality ingredients.

✨ Our advice

Don’t try to do everything.

Choose a few things. But the right ones. And above all:
choose moments that make you feel part of these hills, not just passing through.

The rest will be taken care of by the land itself.
